Park Information

Located in the heart of historic Yorketown, our beautifully lawned or hard sites and two bedroom ensuite cabins offer the best kept secret accommodation on the Yorke Peninsula.

The caravan park can cater to the needs of even the most discerning traveller.  Offering beautiful, peaceful garden surrounds, BBQ facilities, clean amenities and a short walking distance to the town centre, we guarantee our park will have you coming back again for more!

 

Reception

Caravan park staff are usually on site throughout the day, however, should you find the office be unattended, please call the telephone number provided on the whiteboard for assistance.

Check in Time               2.00pm

Check out Time            10.00am on your day of departure

If you wish to extend your stay, please advise reception as early as possible. Unfortunately due to prior bookings, we may not always be able to accommodate your requests.

Smoke Free Environment

All of our cabins are smoke free for the comfort of all. We kindly request that guests restrict smoking to the balconies of their cabin and please dispose of all butts in sand bins provided.

For your safety

Emergency Evacuation is signalled with 3 short blasts from Air Horn

Emergency Evacuation Point is the tennis court near park entrance – unless advised otherwise

Please make yourself familiar with Park Map and Emergency Exits

If there is an emergency after hours, please phone ‘000’ and then notify reception immediately.

Air Conditioning

All cabins have reverse cycle air conditioning

ATM

There are Automatic Teller Machines available at the ANZ Bank and also the Police Credit Union, both on Warooka Road within the Yorketown Shopping Precinct.

BBQs

BBQ facilities are available for guest use. BBQ Cleaner, scrapers and paper towels are available to ensure BBQ s are clean after use

Bikes

Approved helmets must be worn at all times when riding bikes, skateboards, roller blades etc.

Please do not ride on the footpath around the amenities block or BBQ area.

Road rules apply in the park and for all guest safety please refrain from use after sunset

Bins

Please remove all rubbish from cabins – Large green waste bins are located around at the side of the office building. Please ensure all bottles and cans are placed in the appropriate bins

Cleaning

Your cabins are cleaned by our wonderful team of cleaners

They inspect the cabin for defects and have a checklist of all items contained in your cabin

It is the responsibility of the occupier to ensure the cabin is left as it was found

Additional cleaning fees or damages will be charged accordingly

Cooking

Please use the facilities & equipment provided with care

It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the equipment is left the way it was found

Dishes are required to be washed, dried and put away before checking out

If using the camp kitchen please ensure that all dishes and cutlery is taken back to the appropriate cabin and camp kitchen is also left tidy

Dump Point

Our dump point is located at the entrance to the park behind the cabins.

Electrical Appliances

Voltage in Australia is 240V

Please turn appliances off when not in use & at departure

Fishing and Boating

Yorketown is conveniently located in the centre of the Southern Yorke Peninsula which makes it the ideal location to access several beaches depending on which way the wind is blowing! To the West, Point Turton is a 15 minute drive and to the North East you can be at Stansbury within 15 minutes and Edithburgh in 10 minutes.

The fridge is set to medium temperature

Freezer is set to low when not in use to ensure the Freezer remains frost free for your arrival

Entrance fees apply and are payable online or at console at National Park Information Centre

We are happy to assist at our office during normal office hours

Library

There is a well serviced library at the Yorketown Area School which is open most days. For more information regarding library services, please refer to the Yorke Peninsula Council website

Noise

For the comfort of all guests, it is important that noise levels are kept to a minimum after 10.30pm and before 7:00am.

We share a public space and ask to be respectful of others

Please refrain from offensive behaviour and be considerate of language

Guest who do not comply will be evicted from the premises with no refunds

Payments

We accept Master Card, Vis and EFTPOS and do not accept Amex or Diners

Guest paying with cash are respectfully asked to keep their account in credit

Personal or business cheques can only be accepted if prior arrangements have been made

We are proud to advise that we now have a pet friendly cabin!

There is a large playground located at Weaners Flat Reserve which is approximately 100 meters from the park across the Stansbury road.

Yorke Peninsula Council Holiday Parks DO NOT REFUND accounts inside of 21 days

If you leave early it is at your own expense

Road Rules

Guests are required to observe normal road rules within the caravan park. Please drive at walking pace and be alert for children and pedestrians. This also applies to those riding bicycles, roller skates and scooters. Helmets must be worn at all times when riding or rolling in the park.

Security

For your security please ensure that the doors are locked at all times when cabin is not attended as management takes no responsibility for items lost or stolen from your cabin

Shops

Yorketown Foodland is open 7 days per week and carries a full range of groceries and supermarket lines. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 8am – 6pm. Thursday; 8am – 6.30pm, Saturday; 8am – 5pm and Sunday; 9am – 2pm.

Smoking

No smoking in any cabins or buildings at anytime

Ashtrays are provided outdoors for your convenience

Guests who do not comply a $200 deodorising fee will be charged

Tennis Courts & Sporting Facilities

Public tennis courts and basketball ring are available at the town oval, located adjacent the park.

Visitors

Visitors must park outside the caravan park. A fee is payable should you have any visitors that wish to stay overnight or use caravan park facilities.

Vehicles and Parking

Cabins have the facility to have two parking spaces.

All vehicles must be registered with reception.

We kindly ask that all vehicles and boats be parked in the driveway beside the cabin and not on the roadways or vacant sites.

Wi-Fi

Complimentary Wireless Internet Access is available at the Yorketown Library.
